Mathematics Teacher

The purpose of this Mathematics Teacher role is to create and maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere conducive and plan and deliver well-structured lessons that engage learners.

You will be based at the Pinetown operation in KwaZulu-Natal. The culture is down-to-earth, with a real focus on getting things right. Longer term, there is a clear path for those who show commitment. If you tick the boxes below, we want to hear from you.

• Create and maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and respectful of all learners.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities including workshops and self-study to stay current with teaching methodologies.
• Supervise learners during break times, extramural activities, and school outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Provide regular and constructive feedback to learners on their performance, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that engage learners, promote critical thinking, and align with curriculum learning outcomes.

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative and working independently when required.
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators and a valid SACE certificate in good standing.
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal development of every learner in your care.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Education from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two to three years of teaching experience in the relevant phase or subject area within a similar school environment.
• Excellent classroom management skills with ability to maintain discipline and create a respectful and productive learning environment.
