Warehouse Clerk

The purpose of this Warehouse Clerk role is to maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse by sweeping floors, clearing and pick and pack customer orders accurately.

You will be based at the Germiston operation in Gauteng. People here are straightforward, supportive, and proud of what they do. It is a busy, practical environment where no two days look quite the same. You will pick up new skills on the job and be backed to apply them. The role operates within tight delivery windows and requires flexibility around shift times.

• Offload delivery vehicles manually or using pallet jacks, ensuring goods are handled safely and without damage.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies for investigation.
• Receive incoming deliveries by checking quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes, reporting any discrepancies or damage immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse by sweeping floors, clearing aisles, and disposing of waste packaging daily.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies including wearing prescribed PPE and following safe manual handling procedures.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to pick lists and packing slips, ensuring correct items and quantities are dispatched.
• Load delivery vehicles ensuring goods are stacked securely and weight is distributed evenly to prevent shifting during transit.

• Reliable and punctual with ability to work shifts including early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends as required.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment; forklift licence is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or distribution environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a warehouse team.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, and checking orders to avoid errors and customer complaints.
