Production Worker

The Production Worker will package finished products, report any equipment malfunctions and set up workstations with required materials.

The role is based in Knysna, Western Cape. Ongoing training and mentorship are provided to help you reach your potential. A safety-first, quality-driven approach underpins everything the team does. Qualified candidates are encouraged to get their applications in early.

• Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods between workstations and storage areas using trolleys or pallet jacks.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, quality defects, or safety hazards to the shift supervisor immediately to prevent injuries and production delays.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures including wearing prescribed personal protective equipment such as safety boots, goggles, and gloves.
• Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures, ensuring safe and efficient operation at all times.
• Record production data including output quantities, downtime, and quality check results on daily production sheets.
• Package finished products by labelling, boxing, and palletising according to customer specifications and dispatch requirements.
• Perform in-process quality checks by inspecting products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and visual appearance at specified intervals.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining production schedules and team efficiency.
• Basic numeracy and literacy to read work instructions, complete production records, and understand safety signage.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work in a noisy or temperature-controlled environment.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to standard operating procedures without deviation.
