Project Administrator

To conduct project closure activities and lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, a growing business in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Project Administrator.

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software, identifying critical path activities and tracking progress.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and acceptance criteria through quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Facilitate regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholder groups.
• Manage relationships with project stakeholders including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors, ensuring clear communication.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining registers and implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and develop comprehensive project charters and plans.
• Conduct project closure activities including lessons learned sessions, final reporting, and handover of deliverables to operations.

• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com for planning and tracking.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to make sound judgements under pressure.
• Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies with ability to apply the appropriate approach.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and direct cross-functional project teams.
• A minimum of five to seven years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity in the relevant industry sector.
• A recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or CAPM from an accredited certification body.
