Project Manager

Reporting to the relevant manager, the Project Manager will identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining registers and facilitate regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports at an organisation in Saldanha, Western Cape.

• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Manage project changes through a formal change control process, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget before approval.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and develop comprehensive project charters and plans.
• Conduct project closure activities including lessons learned sessions, final reporting, and handover of deliverables to operations.
• Manage relationships with project stakeholders including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors, ensuring clear communication.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and acceptance criteria through quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining registers and implementing mitigation and contingency plans.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and direct cross-functional project teams.
• Strong financial acumen including experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to make sound judgements under pressure.
• A recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or CAPM from an accredited certification body.
• Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies with ability to apply the appropriate approach.
