Labourer

A busy growing business in Mossel Bay, Western Cape urgently requires a Labourer to start as soon as possible. This is a great fit for a motivated self-starter eager to grow with the business.

You will report to an approachable manager who values feedback and initiative. Training is practical and ongoing rather than a once-off exercise. People here are straightforward, supportive, and proud of what they do. If this sounds like the right fit, we would love to hear from you.

• Perform general manual labour tasks including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment, barricades, and signage as required on site.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage rooms, and external grounds to ensure a safe and organised environment.
• Report safety hazards, equipment defects, and maintenance needs to supervisors without delay to prevent accidents.
• Follow a daily task schedule and checklist to ensure all assigned duties are completed to the required standard within the shift.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues at all times.
• Previous experience in a general worker, labourer, or construction assistant role is advantageous but not required.
• A clean criminal record may be required for positions at secure premises or government buildings.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and willingness to work hard in all weather conditions.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team under supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and complete tasks as directed by supervisors.
