General Worker

The purpose of this General Worker role is to follow a daily task schedule and report safety hazards.

This is an on-site role in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Hard work is matched by genuine respect for the people who do it. The business promotes from within wherever possible, opening doors over time. • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage rooms, and external grounds to ensure a safe and organised environment.
• Sort, stack, and organise materials, products, or supplies in designated storage areas following proper stacking procedures.
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety procedures and wear prescribed personal protective equipment at all times.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and in accordance with training and instructions received.
• Report safety hazards, equipment defects, and maintenance needs to supervisors without delay to prevent accidents.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team under supervision.
• Previous experience in a general worker, labourer, or construction assistant role is advantageous but not required.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operational needs demand it.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues at all times.
