General Worker

The General Worker will report any safety hazards, maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and feed raw materials into production machinery and remove finished products from.

This position is based in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. Good work does not go unnoticed, and progression follows performance. You will have the tools, systems, and backing needed to do the job properly. • Pick and pack orders accurately according to pick lists, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected.
• Feed raw materials into production machinery and remove finished products from the line for packing and dispatch.
• Operate basic machinery and equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and strapping machines after receiving appropriate training.
• Sort and stack inventory, pallets, and containers neatly and safely to maximise storage space and prevent accidents.
• Label products and packages correctly with batch numbers, dates, and other required information as per standard operating procedures.

• A clear criminal record may be required depending on the nature of the workplace and client requirements.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as operational demands require.
• The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English accurately.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual work including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to work hard, with a positive attitude even when tasks are repetitive or physically demanding.
• A Grade 10 or Grade 12 certificate is preferred though not always essential depending on the specific role.
• Previous general labour or warehouse experience is advantageous but not always required for entry-level positions.
