Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Clerk will investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, oversee daily warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.

The role is based on-site in Kroonstad, Free State. Training is practical and ongoing rather than a once-off exercise. You will be given real responsibility and the trust to run with it. • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and customers to coordinate smooth flow of goods across the supply chain.
• Manage vehicle fleet maintenance and servicing schedule, ensuring all vehicles are serviced on time and kept roadworthy.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with health and safety regulations including safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system by processing all stock movements and conducting cycle counts.
• Monitor and report on KPIs including on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, warehouse throughput, and transport costs.

• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, transport management systems, or ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of South African customs regulations, import and export procedures, and Incoterms for international logistics.
• For warehouse supervisory roles, experience with material handling equipment including reach trucks and forklifts with valid licences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external providers.
