Warehouse Clerk

Hands-on from day one, the Warehouse Clerk will adhere to all workplace health and safety policies, prepare outgoing shipments by labelling parcels and organise the warehouse layout for a supply chain business in Saldanha, Western Cape.

Day to day, you will collaborate with colleagues who take real pride in their work. The business promotes from within wherever possible, opening doors over time. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to submit their applications.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse by sweeping floors, clearing aisles, and disposing of waste packaging daily.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies for investigation.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies including wearing prescribed PPE and following safe manual handling procedures.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to pick lists and packing slips, ensuring correct items and quantities are dispatched.
• Load delivery vehicles ensuring goods are stacked securely and weight is distributed evenly to prevent shifting during transit.
• Offload delivery vehicles manually or using pallet jacks, ensuring goods are handled safely and without damage.
• Receive incoming deliveries by checking quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes, reporting any discrepancies or damage immediately.

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read pick lists, count stock, and complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, and checking orders to avoid errors and customer complaints.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a warehouse team.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment; forklift licence is an advantage.
