Job Description

Reporting to the relevant manager, the Project Coordinator will estimate and manage project budgets and lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives at a growing business in Germiston, Gauteng.

Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and develop comprehensive project charters and plans.
  • Estimate and manage project budgets and resources, tracking actual expenditure against forecasts and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage project changes through a formal change control process, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget before approval.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors, ensuring clear communication.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software, identifying critical path activities and tracking progress.
Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to make sound judgements under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity in the relevant industry sector.
  • Strong financial acumen including experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.
  • Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies with ability to apply the appropriate approach.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and direct cross-functional project teams.
Qualifications
Scrum Master or PMI-ACP Certification for Agile Projects
