Executive Housekeeper

The Executive Housekeeper will prepare and cook food to the highest standards, manage, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness.

You will be based at the Knysna operation in Western Cape. Communication is open, and everyone pulls in the same direction. • Prepare budgets, monitor revenue and costs, and implement measures to maximise profitability while maintaining quality.
• Oversee all daily operations including opening and closing procedures, staff deployment, and ensuring readiness for service.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally, taking immediate corrective action and following up for satisfaction.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, fire safety, and liquor licensing.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all areas including dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and external spaces.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort to tables, present menus, and take food and beverage orders accurately.

• A minimum of two to three years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, lodge, or events venue.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and health and safety regulations for the hospitality industry.
• Excellent customer service orientation with ability to handle difficult situations and complaints with diplomacy and professionalism.
• A well-groomed and professional appearance reflecting the high standards expected in a premium hospitality environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as the hospitality industry demands.
